A budget is simply a snapshot of how — and why — money flows through your life. We call this your "cash flow." The process of creating a budget is actually a process of self-discovery, because how you save and spend money reveals how you live your life. So, think of a budget as a picture of how money flows into and out of your life, and how you choose to lead your life by using it.
