The AARP Conservative Fund was ranked 20th for the three-year period ending June 30, 2010 out of 555 funds in Morningstar's Conservative Allocation category; the AARP Moderate Fund was ranked 60th for the three-year period out of 963 funds in Morningstar's Moderate Allocation category; the AARP Aggressive Fund was ranked 75th for the three-year period out of 1,810 funds in Morningstar's Large-Blend category; and the AARP Income Fund was ranked 418th for the three-year period out of 1011 funds in Morningstar's Intermediate Term Bond category. Ratings are based on risk adjusted performance. During the ranking period, AARP Financial waived fees and reimbursed expenses for these funds and the AARP Aggressive Fund experienced negative performance.

*For each fund with at least a three-year history, Morningstar calculates a Morningstar Rating™ based on a Morningstar Risk-Adjusted Return measure that accounts for variation in a fund's monthly performance (including the effects of sales charges, loads and redemption fees), placing more emphasis on downward variations and rewarding consistent performance. (Each share class is counted as a fraction of one fund within this scale and rated separately, which may cause slight variations in the distribution percentages.) The top 10% of the funds in an investment category receive 5 stars, 22.5% receive 4 stars, 35% receive 3 stars, the next 22.5% receive 2 stars, and the bottom 10% receive 1 star.
